The new software upgrade, expected in late May, will include powerful features such as advanced PTZ control, Advanced Hardware Acceleration, Support for Windows 8 devices, and innovative integration with the DW^® VMX DVR series. The VMAX integration with the DW Spectrum software will allow its users to monitor and control surveillance installations where both analog and network IP solutions have been implemented. The new DW Spectrum capabilities will allow for live monitoring as well as playback and search of video recorded in the DVR. In addition, the software will support alarm notifications and relay control of the DVRs. This new integration will turn the DW^® VMAX DVRs into one of the market’s most cost effective, multi-channel encoders with local storage.
