The ground-breaking DW Spectrum software has been gaining momentum since it was initially released in January of 2013. Following market demand and increasing popularity, DW® has released this software update with several new powerful features. Some of the most prominent features include a robust event, actions, and alerts engine with email notifications, mobile client for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, and support for Windows 8 devices. Also with this release, DW® is proud to announce that we are making Analog versus IP- History. A key feature to version 1.5 is the integration of DW’s VMAX Series of Analog DVRs with the DW Spectrum IPVMS. Now, the hundreds of thousands of DW® VMAX Series DVR customers across the globe have a simple and exciting way to easily migrate their existing analog surveillance systems directly into the advanced world of HD IP and Megapixel video surveillance. With the advancement of our analog integration, comes the exciting auto discovery feature that immediately recognizes the addition of analog cameras, either via a VMAX Series DVR or by utilizing an integrated technology partner approved analog encoder. These analog products have the ability to view live and playback via the DW Spectrum version 1.5 IPVMS.
