Blackjack® E-RACK™ NVRs Now Ship with High Availability, RAID5 and Redundant Power Supply

Blackjack E-RACK™ Powered by DW Spectrum™ IPVMS
Cerritos, CA (April 27, 2017) – DW®, the industry leader in digital recorders, surveillance cameras and related management software, announces the enhancement of our Blackjack® E-Rack™ NVRs with an additional Solid State Drive (SSD) as a standard feature. The second SSD, mirroring the first one, will increase security and the servers’ high availability, while help keeping our customers’ systems running efficiently.
Blackjack® E-Rack™ enterprise-level servers are built to outperform any competing server on the market in preventing data loss and offering easy availability instantly and constantly. Blackjack® E-Rack™ servers come with the operating system (OS) running on a separate, Solid State drive, reducing the risk of the server crashing or recorded data being damaged. Having the server’s OS on a separate SSD also increases the system’s speed and performance. The decision to add a secondary SSD drive, mirroring the original one, offers customers an added layer of security for the OS. The servers can now detect abnormalities in operation and correct them instantly, preventing the need for the server to go down or become unavailable.
As the E-Racks improve storage, OS and power redundancies, the server’s high availability becomes powerful and total. High availability E-Rack servers allow users to access data, edit settings and monitor the systems, all while the servers are running and recording. The added redundancy eliminates a single point of failure, and in the case of an OS malfunction, the NVR can continue running while relying on the secondary SSD, with no interruption in the recording process. This added insurance is especially beneficial in installations where servers may be offsite or hard to get to, helping them remain running constantly and uninterrupted.
"Already recognized for their power and reliability in the video surveillance industry, E-RACK’s handle large amounts of data storage efficiently and securely,” said Patrick Kelly, Director of IP Sales, DW®. “By mirroring the operating system, the second SSD provides users added confidence that the server will be up, recording and available.”
The change to the hardware configuration is being applied to all Blackjack E-Rack™ models without a change to the MSRP.
